Unedited Podcast 26: So Hardcore
Okay, so seriously. We're back. We mean it this time. We even brought a friend to help us this time. John acted as our guest host this week to enlighten us about Metal music. We discuss its different aspects and the idea that it's more than just screaming and head banging. Expose yourself to something new and tell us what YOU think about Metal. I'm glad you picked up on how technical metal is and how to solo right you need to know all your pentatonic and blues scales etc.
Though I would also point out how not only metal and rock blend, but punk as well. Screamo, is a genre that I would personally describe as hardcore punk for the most part. And there's also rock bands, such as Billy Talent, who few would consider metal, scream as well. There's also metal in the past, your typical Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Guns and Roses and such, who nowadays, would often be considered just regular rock.
